Why Beatline

Your studio, wherever you are

You don't need to replace FL Studio. You just need somewhere to catch an idea before it's gone.

💡

Got an idea?

Open Beatline and start immediately — no install, no login, no waiting on a DAW to boot.

💻

Not on your main computer?

School, work, a friend's laptop, a Chromebook — if it has a browser, it has a full studio.

🤝

Working with someone?

Share a project link instead of emailing giant files back and forth.

🐧

On Linux?

FL Studio has no native Linux build — it's Wine, a VM, or nothing. Beatline just needs a browser tab, full stop.

Features

Everything you need to make beats online

A real production workflow — sounds, sequencing, synthesis, mixing and export — with nothing to install.

Free sound library

Trap and EDM starter packs — kicks, snares, hi-hats, 808s, synth loops, FX and vocal chops — ready to preview and drag straight onto the timeline.

Piano roll, synth & sampler

Write melodies with FL-style typing keys or a MIDI keyboard. Use the built-in synth, or load any sample and pitch it across the keys in stretch or resample mode.

Patterns on the playlist

Write a melody once, then arrange it as pattern clips — move, copy and trim instances anywhere on the timeline while edits stay in sync.

Mixer, effects & automation

A channel strip per track with live meters, plus EQ, delay, reverb, saturation and more — and automation curves for volume, pan, effect and synth parameters.

Record & edit samples

Record from your microphone or drop in a WAV/MP3, then zoom, slice and chop it in the built-in sample editor.

Export & share

Render your song to MP3 or 16-bit WAV in the browser, save projects to the cloud, and share tracks with a public listen link.

How it works

Start making music online in seconds

No install — just open the tab.

  1. Open the studio. Click “Launch the studio” — it loads instantly in your browser.
  2. Add sounds. Drag drums and loops from the free library, upload your own samples, or write notes in the piano roll.
  3. Arrange & mix. Lay clips and patterns on the timeline, then balance everything in the mixer and add effects.
  4. Export or share. Render to MP3/WAV, or publish a listen link your friends can open anywhere.
Built for FL producers

Familiar if you know FL Studio

Piano roll, pattern clips on a playlist, channel-based mixing, FL-style typing keys for note entry — Beatline borrows the concepts so you're not learning a new workflow just to catch a quick idea.

Sketch here, finish anywhere. Export your idea as MIDI, stems or WAV and take it into FL Studio when you're back at your main setup — Beatline isn't trying to replace it.

Pricing

Free: make the music. Pro: keep it with you.

FAQ

Common questions

About making music online with Beatline.

Is Beatline really free?

Yes — making music is free, with no download and no ads. You only need a (free) account for optional extras like cloud project storage and song sharing.

Is this an online version of FL Studio?

No. Beatline is an independent, browser-based DAW built from scratch — it isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or a copy of FL Studio or Image-Line. It uses familiar concepts like the piano roll, pattern-based playlist and channel mixing, so it's a natural sketchpad for FL Studio producers when FL Studio isn't handy.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Beatline runs entirely in your web browser using the Web Audio API. Open the page and you're producing — or install it as an app from your browser for a desktop feel.

Does Beatline work on Linux?

Yes — it's just a browser tab, so it runs natively on Linux with no Wine, PlayOnLinux or VM in the way. FL Studio has no official native Linux build, which makes Beatline a much simpler way for Linux users to get a beat going.

Are there free sounds included?

Yes — a starter library of trap and EDM packs: kicks, snares, hats, 808s, synth loops, FX and vocal chops. You can also upload WAV/MP3 samples or record straight from your microphone.

Where are my projects saved?

Projects autosave locally in your browser. Sign in (free) to save projects to the cloud and open them on any device, or export a project file to keep a copy.

Can I export my song?

Yes — render to MP3 or 16-bit WAV right in the browser, or share your track online with a Beatline listen link.

What do I get with Beatline Pro?

Unlimited cloud projects across every device, a personal sound/preset library, collaboration, and larger uploads for long renders — $4.99/month or $49/year (2 months free), with a 7-day free trial. Sharing songs and publishing to the community feed stay free.
